Scratch Clubhouse Shipping Container Refab
Great things come in mini packages – that goes for both golf and clubhouses. Small in footprint but large in effect, the Scratch Clubhouse is a cost-effective, well-functioning, sustainable, yet uniquely attractive space for employees and guests of the mini golf course. Scratch desired a small but intriguing landmark to complement the existing mini golf course and provide a functioning base of operations while improving pedestrian traffic flow.
Inspired by the challenge of modifying prefab shipping container elements and the desire to improve existing aesthetics and functionalities within a smaller budget, this sustainable design seamlessly slides into the course layout and surrounding landscape. The shipping container elements were reused as perforated metal roof panels to create the unique shape of the roof canopy structure, providing both an interesting silhouette and a comfortable place for mini golfers to congregate before or after a round.
